Do I have to buy the VBS Starter Kit to participate?
Not at all. Even if you don’t participate in Power Lab, you can take part in Operation Kid-to-Kid. It’s a great way to give your children—and everyone else at your church—a heart for missions!

We do suggest you purchase a Power Lab Director Manual, since the detailed information there will help you have a more successful Operation Kid-to-Kid experience.

How many soccer balls will I need?
At Power Lab VBS, each crew needs a ball. For other groups, simply do what works best for your situation. Please do not inflate.

Where do I get the soccer balls?
Special GO Ball soccer balls are available from Group and Group VBS suppliers.

Can I use a different soccer ball?
Not if you are distributing it through International Bible Society to South Africa. They’re counting on receiving these high-quality balls with the special colors that share the Gospel message.

IBS has learned it’s important that items distributed to children should be identical. No child should feel less special because his or her soccer ball doesn ’t look like the others.

Should I inflate the soccer balls before I send them?
No, please do not inflate the soccer balls.  They are much easier for us to process and sent to South Africa flattened.

Do I have to send the soccer balls to International Bible Society for distribution?
No. You’re welcome to use them in your community—or send them with a church mission team.

Of course!  Preschoolers may need a little help writing their names, though.

What do I do with the soccer balls when I’m done?
At the end of your Power Lab VBS, send your completed soccer balls to IBS for distribution. Follow these simple steps to ensure they arrive in good shape:

  1. Place the soccer balls in a sturdy box. Since the balls are uninflated, it’s easy to pack them!
  2. Include a check for $25 (envelope is provided) made out to International Bible Society. This will help defray the international shipping and distribution costs. 
  3. Seal the box and mail it to (label provided):

  4. Continue praying for the children God has arranged to receive the GO Balls you send!
